New Homes and Land Administrator • Exeter • c.25k Basic (DoE) • Independent Agency •  A dual role providing support for the New Homes and Development Land departments for this prestigious estate agency, based from their offices in Exeter. Working Monday to Friday supporting the New Homes Manager by organising and managing the schedule, making appointments, managing emails, and responding to team or client needs. You will play a key role in helping to grow the department while anticipating and resolving potential issues. In addition, providing administrative support to the Development Land team and the four Surveyors. Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Manage and maintain the New Homes Manager's schedule, including appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Organise and respond to emails, sensing potential issues and preventing issues before they occur.
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients, third parties, developers, other professionals and internal team members and responding on behalf of the relevant departments when necessary.
  • Co-ordinate with third parties to ensure deadlines are met and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Handle tasks for team members as needed, ensuring that all efforts contribute to the overall department’s success.
  • Support administrative tasks, including organising documents, reports, and other ad-hoc duties.
  • Drafting and raising invoices
  • Completing background checks on property/strategic land
  • Drafting and arranging completion of Terms of Business
  • Land Registry searches
  • Assisting with marketing for the department
  • General administrative support
Required Skills and Qualifications: The successful applicant will have a flexible ‘can do’ positive attitude, be a fast learner for in-house software systems, self-motivated and will ideally have previous experience supporting a busy team, as well as being able to use own initiative and prioritise their workload.  The ability to work as part of a team is essential and attention to detail is key.  An understanding of the new homes and development land sectors would be advantageous but not essential, as well as experience of working in an office environment.  Skills and Character Traits:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Drive tools.
  • Excellent time management, communication skills, and a high level of discretion.
  • A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
