Job Title: Senior to Principal Structural Engineer
Location: Exeter
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior to Principal Structural Engineer with a strong foundation in structural engineering and a proven track record across both public and private sectors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading projects, mentoring junior team members, and implementing sustainable, technically sound solutions in line with Eurocodes and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
路Collaborate with Directors to allocate resources effectively, ensuring timely project delivery within budget.
路Guide project design from concept to completion, meeting British Standards, Building Regulations, and client requirements.
路Attend client meetings, manage client relationships, and oversee project operations, including site visits and inspections.
路Support team development through mentoring and quality review of junior engineers' work.
路Assist in budgeting, scheduling, and monitoring project costs, including managing any changes.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
路Education & Certification: BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering; Chartered member of IStructE or equivalent (or extensive experience).
路Technical Skills: Skilled in AutoCAD, Tekla, and experienced with British Standards/Eurocodes
路Leadership: Proven ability to manage projects, supervise junior staff, and ensure quality.
路Project Delivery: Experience in delivering projects across sectors, including residential, healthcare, and education.
