A great new opportunity to join a Water sector specialist who has recently secured tier-one framework status with South West Water. My client, a national contractor with a company turnover in excess of 200 million, requires a Design Manager to lead a portfolio of projects through the design phase. You will be responsible for ensuring the buildability and value engineering of projects. You will be required to attend occasional meetings across the South West and to our clients Head Office.
As Design Manager you will:
- Lead the design team, ensuring that they meet clients requirements and project objectives
- Manage the design function, ensuring that design deliverables are produced to allocated key dates
- Ensure the organisation of design elements, documenting in into the Design Management Plan and preparing regular status updates
- Attend Programme, project and technical meeting
- Provide support during construction and commissioning stages of work
- Ensure that design complies with all Health and Safety codes and legislation
Our client requires a Design Manager with:
- HND/Degree in an engineering related discipline
- Extensive experience working in a multi-disciplinary design environment
- Experience of working on major projects within the Water sector, involving both Civil and M&E aspects
Salary and benefits include:
- 58,000 - 68,000 per annum.
- Car or 6,000 car allowance.
- 25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays)
- Option to buy a further 5 days annual leave
- Benefits package including Life Assurance, Private Medical Insurance, Pension Scheme etc.
