Job Title: Used Vehicle Controller
Reports to: Director Fleet Operations
Department: Fleet
Location: Exeter Head Office
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Key Purpose of Role
As a Used Vehicle Controller at Thrifty, you will be responsible for ensuring all sale-qualifying vehicles are strategically offered for sale across multiple channels to maximize sales opportunities and residual value. You will provide real-time, accurate data on our used vehicle stock and recommend the best disposal routes based on market trends and pricing strategies.
Main Duties
- Develop and manage disposal plans for all vehicles
- Monitor and progress vehicle sales within Service Level Agreements (SLA) across multiple sales channels
- Analyse market trends and vehicle movements
- Recommend pricing strategies and disposal channels to the Director
- Prepare and format pricing files for presentation to the Board of Directors
- Perform additional ad-hoc tasks as required by the Line Manager
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Strong tenacity in ensuring vehicles are promptly offered to market
- Experience or interest in the automotive industry, particularly used vehicles, manufacturers and models
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong data analysis skills to identify trends and errors
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced business environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
