Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Be the Machine Whisperer!

We’re looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturer just outside Plymouth. You’ll be a key player, keeping our specially built machines in tip-top shape while learning new skills and having fun along the way. What You'll Get Up To:
- Be the Hero: Machines down? No problem! You'll jump in and save the day, performing magical repairs on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, steam-powered, and robotic systems.
- Puzzle Solver Extraordinaire: Spot recurring issues and troubleshoot like a pro to eliminate pesky problems and keep our operations smooth.
- Downtime Destroyer: Respond quickly to breakdowns and get things up and running again before anyone even notices!
- Master of Maintenance: Keep the site in perfect working order by scheduling and completing regular Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks.
- Machine Mover & Shaker: Help install, commission, and decommission new equipment, making you the ultimate machine whisperer.
- Team Collaborator: Work closely with production and external contractors to keep things running smoothly.
- Safety Champion: Lead the way in Health & Safety, ensuring the site is as safe as it is efficient.
What You Bring to the Table:
- An HNC/HND or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (bonus points for more!).
- Experience in manufacturing, with a knack for both planned and reactive maintenance.
- Awesome problem-solving and fault-finding skills – no challenge too big!
- Team spirit with a cool head under pressure, because sometimes, machines like to throw a tantrum.
