We are recruiting for an experienced Van driver to work with our client based in Exeter, Devon. This is a permanent position.
Vehicle - Sprinter Van 3.5tn plus a 5.5tn Van
This role does requires the candidate to carry out manual lifting of parts being delivered, where required, assistance will be provided from the end client. Therefore, the suitable candidate must be physically capable of lifting and moving parts and orders to load and unload the vehicle.
Customer service skills are essential as this position will be customer facing and will require interaction and the completion of various delivery notes.
Speed and Driving styles are monitored closely by the vehicle tracking system and applicants are reminded that the company vehicle carries the company logo so this means that the company expects to be represented in a professional manner at all times.
Delivery routes can vary from multi drops locally to existing clients or further afield to other customers. However, the distance of routes will be factored in to ensure that driving times do not exceed daily working hours where possible.
**Please note - Unexpected traffic congestion cannot be predicted so some flexibility is advised.
The suitable candidate will be joining a small and friendly team who all help each other so teamwork is essential as when deliveries are complete, it will be expected and helpful to check in with the team during busy times.
Key Requirements
Valid UK Licence - Van Driving Experience (3.5tn)CPC QualificationValid UK C1 driving licence and no more than 3points.Must be over the age of 25 years old due to Insurance requirements.
