Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and cooking of dishes within your designated section of the kitchen
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standard
  • Maintain high levels of food hygiene and adhere to safety regulations
  • Train, mentor, and guide junior kitchen staff, helping them develop their skills
  • Manage stock levels, ensuring efficient use of ingredients to minimize waste
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to plan menus and create new dishes
  • Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory for your section
  • Ensure a smooth kitchen operation, especially during peak times

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for cooking
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Culinary qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) are preferred
