Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of dishes within your designated section of the kitchen
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standard
- Maintain high levels of food hygiene and adhere to safety regulations
- Train, mentor, and guide junior kitchen staff, helping them develop their skills
- Manage stock levels, ensuring efficient use of ingredients to minimize waste
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to plan menus and create new dishes
- Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory for your section
- Ensure a smooth kitchen operation, especially during peak times
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for cooking
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and team-working skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Culinary qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) are preferred
