Are you a passionate and creative culinary leader ready to make your mark in one of Exeters most exciting boutique hotels? Hotel Indigo Exeter is looking for an experienced and driven Head Chef to lead our talented kitchen team and bring bold, locally inspired dishes to life across our dynamic food and beverage outlets.

The Role
As Head Chef, youll be at the forefront of all culinary operations across the hotel, leading the kitchen team with creativity, energy, and a focus on quality. You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and delivering innovative, seasonal menus across multiple outlets

  • Overseeing food preparation and ensuring high standards of presentation and consistency

  • Managing kitchen budgets, stock, and supplier relationships

  • Training, mentoring, and motivating your brigade

  • Maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards

  • Supporting the hotels wider goals of guest satisfaction and memorable experiences

What Were Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef role in a quality-led kitchen

  • A passion for fresh, local ingredients and creative menu development

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Solid understanding of kitchen financials and GP targets

  • Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety compliance

  • Ability to work collaboratively with the wider hotel team to deliver great guest experiences
