Sales Development Manager - Exeter and Torbay

At St Austell Brewery, we take pride in being the largestwholesale distributor of beer, wines, spirits, and soft drinks across theSouthwest. Our dedicated teams engage with thousands of independent free tradepubs, clubs, hotels, restaurants, and other licensed outlets, offering eachcustomer a personalized service backed by years of expertise.

We are seeking a passionate and driven Sales Development Managerto provide key account management across East Devon, Exeter and Torbay,managing some of our biggest accounts worth over £7 million in revenue. In thisrole, you will support and maintain numerous accounts, maximizing sales byraising awareness of our diverse and exciting range of products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Support and maintain a portfolio of keyaccounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Maximisation: Drive sales growth by promoting our extensiveproduct range.
  • Brand Development: Develop a platform for our own brand beers,using tactical support, POS, and promotions to increase volume within youraccounts.
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct regular reviews, maintain journeyplans, and adhere to call rotas to ensure optimal customer engagement.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture strong customerrelationships through excellent communication and service.
  • Database Management: Ensure our customer database is accuratelymaintained.
  • Commercial Awareness: Stay commercially aware of all deals, loans,delivery costs, and equipment arrangements within your area.
  • Sales Targets: Show a passion for delivering sales and profittargets.
  • Presentation Skills: Confidently present and influencestakeholders using your strong presentation skills.

About You:

  • Experience in a similar sales-focused role within FMCG, drinks, orhospitality sectors.
  • Ability to use insights to build commercially profitable newbusiness and a quality customer base.
  • Keen eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office packages.
  • Must reside within a commutable distance of East Devon.
