Central and Southern are looking for a Responsible Individual to support and develop our fantastic Residential Care Teams, and deliver a bright future for the children in our care.
The Role
- Ability to be present in the homes and offer the face to face support to the managers and teams as required
- Comply with Safeguarding Children policy and procedures at all times and promote an honest and open culture in line with our BRIGHT values
- Comply with the Health and Safety policy and procedures at all times
- Ensure that all homes meet the mandated training and Health and Safety compliance targets
- Ensure full compliance in respect of all relevant legislation and regulation
- Adhere to all organisational policies and procedures at all times
- Promote and ensure the good reputation of the organisation at all times
- Always act in a professional manner, operating with integrity, respecting individuals and maintaining confidentiality
- Promote strong personalisation/individual care & support, striving to achieve the highest standards of personalise support
- Register with Ofsted as Responsible Individual for designated children’s homes, ensuring full regulatory / legislative compliance
- Provide effective leadership; responsible for ensuring efficient and effective management of all designated children’s homes
- Working in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team on new business/development projects
Requirements
- Formal sector related qualification, ideally at level 5/7 (desirable) or willingness to work towards
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation relating to residential children’s homes (Essential)
- Experience in working in relevant health and social care setting (essential)
- Full UK driving licence
