Are you a passionate and driven Children’s Head of Care (Responsible individual) looking for a new opportunity? Or are you an ambitious Children’s Home Manager looking to step into your first RI role within residential homes in Devon?

Central and Southern are looking for a Responsible Individual to support and develop our fantastic Residential Care Teams, and deliver a bright future for the children in our care.

The Role

  • Ability to be present in the homes and offer the face to face support to the managers and teams as required
  • Comply with Safeguarding Children policy and procedures at all times and promote an honest and open culture in line with our BRIGHT values
  • Comply with the Health and Safety policy and procedures at all times
  • Ensure that all homes meet the mandated training and Health and Safety compliance targets
  • Ensure full compliance in respect of all relevant legislation and regulation
  • Adhere to all organisational policies and procedures at all times
  • Promote and ensure the good reputation of the organisation at all times
  • Always act in a professional manner, operating with integrity, respecting individuals and maintaining confidentiality
  • Promote strong personalisation/individual care & support, striving to achieve the highest standards of personalise support
  • Register with Ofsted as Responsible Individual for designated children’s homes, ensuring full regulatory / legislative compliance
  • Provide effective leadership; responsible for ensuring efficient and effective management of all designated children’s homes
  • Working in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team on new business/development projects

Requirements

  • Formal sector related qualification, ideally at level 5/7 (desirable) or willingness to work towards
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation relating to residential children’s homes (Essential)
  • Experience in working in relevant health and social care setting (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence
