- Completing planned work programmes and projects to timeframes and with budget.
- Managing client needs, defining project technical specifications, manage costs, fees and commercial requirement and ensure that projects are delivered to client satisfaction.
- Assisting the relevant director in managing engineering resources across the Structural Engineering team.
- Supporting business development activity to enhance, grow and diversify the engineering capabilities.
- Managing the implementation of best practice in the Structural Engineering team.
- Leading major projects ensuring that they are delivered to the specification.Â
- Preparing designs, calculations, specifications, drawing and carrying out risk assessments for improvement, refurbishment and new building schemes, tendering documents and supervising works to completion including agreeing interim and final accounts.
- Preparing schedules of dilapidations, improvement scheme, drawings and specifications, structural surveys, and insurance reinstatement schemes.
- Responding to emergency requests for action or advice regarding dangerous buildings. Attending and advising on incidents.
- Providing advice to clients in respect of construction and refurbishment projects and actively promote surveying services on a fee-paying basis.
- Fee earning and contributing to the achievement of business plan objective and targets.

- Knowledge of modern design packages such as Tekla Tedds and Revit
