They are an award winning practice, having featured on 'Grand Designs' with a solid workload of historic projects across Devon. Projects are varied and interesting, including historic buildings from cob cottages to churches, as well as new and innovative sustainable construction making no two days the same.

On offer is an opportunity to become a fundamental asset to this company. You will work collaboratively with a close-knit team of engineers to restore historical buildings. You will use the latest design software to produce structural timber designs, this will include attending site visits across Devon to liaise with clients.The Role:

  • Designing timber structures on residential and historical buildings including cob cottages, castles and churches
  • Using AutoCAD, Ted, Quickframe to design structures
  • Working on ecological sound projects
  • Attending site visits and liaising with clients and relevant authorities

The Person:

  • BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng in civil and/or structural engineering
  • The ability to produce drawings in AutoCAD is essential
