Principal/Project Civil Engineer - Exeter - Up to 60k
Our client, a renowned leader in the Multi-Disciplinary Engineering sector with a rich history spanning over 75 years, is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their innovative team in Exeter.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse array of regional, national, and international projects using the latest in digital design tools within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on infrastructure, highways, and drainage design projects from scheme development to preliminary and detailed design phases.
- Play a pivotal role in project deliveries, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Elevate client satisfaction through effective communication and professional liaison.
- Provide mentoring and development support to junior team members, fostering a learning environment.
- Participate actively in all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial concept to completion.
Job Requirements:
- BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering.
- Membership in a relevant professional body, such as ICE, with progress towards or achievement of chartership status.
- Extensive experience in the UK construction industry design consultancy across various sectors, including residential.
- Strong commercial awareness and prior experience in client liaisons.
- Proficient in detailed design with a thorough understanding of relevant codes and industry standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and support more junior colleagues.
