Our client, a very innovative consultancy are looking to hire a motivated and enthusiastic Chartered Building Surveyor to assist with an increasing workload within their Devon based offices - they have sites located in both Exeter and Plymouth.

The successful candidate will be required to act on behalf of both public and private sector clients across a broad range of projects.

You are likely to be an experienced and qualified Chartered Building Surveyor or a newly qualified Chartered Building Surveyor, someone capable of demonstrating the required commercial experience for the role, someone looking for the next step in their career development and progression.

The role is offered on a hybrid working basis and you will be expected to be office based circa 2 days per week.

Job SummaryThe role encompasses a mixture of traditional building surveying and project management across a variety of different sectors, including education, social and privately owned housing, local authority, property development, ministry of defence and conservation.

The successful candidate will be working as part of an experienced team of Building Surveyors and you will be entrusted to take sole responsibility for managing your own projects from inception through to completion.

You will also be relied upon to help promote the practice, to develop and maintain client relationships.

Limited travel will be expected to be undertaken across the region to fulfil the requirements of the role and the diverse range of work you are involved with.

The successful candidate needs to be proficient in the use of AutoCAD as well as having at least a basic understanding of professional services and consultancy.

Please note, to be considered for this role you must have the Right to Work in the UK without company sponsorship.

Key Duties

-Undertaking refurbishment projects ranging from £50,000 to £2,000,000-Manage D&B new build and refurbishment projects-Client management-Contract administration-Preparing tender packages-Conducting a variety of different building surveys-Setting an example and assisting junior team members
