Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Service and Repair Technician for their client based at their Exeter depot.

Hours of work:

37.5 hours a week

Monday - Friday 8.30am- 5.00pm

Job Role:

To service and repair the full range of Professional and Home & Garden cleaning equipment in a workshop environment, as well as perform onsite customer repairs when necessary.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair the full range of Professional cleaning equipment in both workshop and field environments.
  • Record all work performed, complete relevant service reports, and liaise with customers and internal office staff.
  • Promote and sell maintenance contracts and other accessories.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle in a satisfactory and safe condition at all times.
  • Control inventory of van spares.
  • Uphold and promote the brand at all times.
  • Carry out additional duties as requested by management to meet business requirements.
  • Attend training, meetings, and company events.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3 GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • Preferably qualified in mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Preferable knowledge of the service and cleaning industries.
  • Experience in a workshop engineering role and/or working with cleaning equipment.
  • IT literate.
  • Ability to find, diagnose, and resolve technical problems.
  • Good communication skills, both internally and externally with customers.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Willingness to travel.
