Minor Works Capital Projects Manager

Location: DevonDuration: 3-6 months, temporary ongoingHours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday

Your duties will include:

-            Project managing the delivery of a range of building refurbishment work and installations up to the value of c.£1m

-            Preparing designs for capital works in accordance with technical specifications, policies and procedures

-            Ensuring that all projects produce the required outcomes, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost

-            Developing and implementing plans for project delivery, monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary to take any changes into account

-            Being responsible for day-to-day decisions relating to the management of the project including resources and skills required

-            Implementing project controls, make recommendations on changes to the specifications, budgets and schedules to the Project Sponsor 

-            Overseeing works carried out by contractors and ensure works are being completed within the correct time schedule and budget

-            Liaising regularly with stakeholders and attend progress meetings

The successful candidate should have:

-            Specialist mechanical, electrical or building knowledge including legislation to degree level or equivalent work experience

-            Experience of delivering minor projects from conception to completion

-            Ability and experience in building strong working business relationships with a variety of stakeholders
