- Ensure all works are carried out in a planned, controlled and safe manner
- Comply and manage safety, health and environmental in accordance with policies, process, procedures and minimum standards
- Recognise contractual, commercial and operational risks and propose ways to mitigate them
- Develop and build relationships with contractors and subcontractors that support fulfilment of contractual obligations
- Develop clear, detailed, and practical measures of performance to meet project objectives
- Regularly inspect works for compliance with design and report on progress ensuring any remedial action is taken with agreed timescales
- Hold weekly team meetings to discuss project delivery, identify improvement opportunities
- Oversee and control all the works of the trade contractors, contributing to the selection of key specialists, suppliers & manufacturers including the production of working drawings, procurement, and prefabrication to performance on site
- Manage & know the Project finances, revenue, costs and cashflow, taking proactive action to prevent losses and maximise profitability
- Previous experience of managing large value commercial schemes
- Construction related qualification
- In date First Aid at work, SMSTS, CSCS – Managers Card
- Relevant driving licence
- Strong written, oral communication skills and negotiation
- Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and Project
- Steel frame experience is required
