Job Title: Assistant Store Manager
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum (Rising up to £43,000 within four years)
Location: Exeter

An exciting new opportunity has become available to work as an Assistant Store Manager at one of the leading retail stores. Working 5 out of 7 days a week to help run and oversee tasks within the team. The successful assistant store manager will be exposed to a host of modern benefits such as healthcare and parental leave plus much more.

Working as the Assistant Store Manager you will be key to ensuring that day to day operations and tasks run smoothly across the store. This will include helping the store manager keep stock organised, up to date and in order. You will be providing great customer service at all times and have a passion for retail whilst working alongside a talented and diverse team.



Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the store manager in ensuring inventory is up to date and available, identifying trends and ordering stock as required.
- As the assistant store manager, you will be responsible for customer queries and concerns, and you will build connections with customers to ensure they have a satisfactory experience in store.
- You will be responsible for ensuring rotas are correct along with booking and authorising holiday for team members.
- Taking steps to ensure the wellbeing of the team to ensure a high standard of work is delivered each day.
- Ensuring operational efficiency continues to exceed expectations.



Essential experience required:
- Has demonstrable experience in managing people.
- It is fundamental to have time management skills which can lead to an improvement in efficiency.
- Strong experience in managing people in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable experience:
- Can evidence a strong motivation to succeed.
- Basic IT skills.
- Retail and specifically supermarket experience.
