- To assist the Environmental Health Manager in providing a regulatory service and carrying out the clients’ statutory duties
- The investigation of complaints relating to commercial premises
- The collection of evidence associated with contraventions for use in court proceedings
- The overseeing of works being conducted as a result of legal action
- The administration of various schemes within commercial premises
- To undertake any duties that may be assigned by the Principal Environmental Health Officer / Environmental Health and Licensing Manager
- To carry out research, monitoring and provision of information and statistics as required
- To hold a BSc/Diploma in Environmental Health and EHRB Certificate of Registration
- To have a solid experience of producing clear and accurate reports - including problem solving solutions
- Good level of experience of dealing with complaints/enquiries from members of the public
- To hold a full driving licence
- To be able to work independently or as part of a team
- To have experience or working within Environmental Health Services or the work covered by the post e.g. noise/pollution/contaminated land
- To have a good understanding of  PACE, CPIA, RIPA and other Acts association with investigations
- To be prepared to work out of hours on a monthly basis
