METAL SHOP PRODUCTION OPERATIVE


Location: EXETER
Hours: MONDAY - FRIDAY
Early shift 0600 to 1400
Type: TEMP - PERM
Salary: 12.81 per hour

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a metal shop production operative to work out of their workshop.

A modern, bright and dynamic warehouse environment based in the Skypark Business Park on the edge of Exeter.

About the role:
Working with metals including stainless steel, brass and mild steel to manufacture parts for high-end products.
Using a wide range of tools and machinery, including punch presses and brakes, and power presses. MIG welding with a range of different materials.
Welding, polishing and grinding.
Painting/degreasing.

About you:
A keen multitasker with a willingness to learn new skills and be trained across a variety of operations.
A team player with excellent communication skills.
Flexibility to carry out a variety of tasks on a daily basis.
Comfortable handling heavy items.
Previous experience in punch presses and brakes, and power presses desirable.
MIG welding / welding experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is a temporary to permanent role
