gap personnel Exeter is recruiting for a Workshop Operative to join a well-established business near Exeter Airport. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced workshop environment.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of stock from Goods In through to production, picking, and despatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Working from works orders and drawings, ensuring production deadlines are met.
- Picking and packing items on the stores production line, ready for shipping.
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with replenishment.
- Ensuring proper preservation of products from receipt to despatch.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace, following HSE and quality policies.
- Supporting lean activities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensuring company resources and assets are used effectively.
- Operating machinery
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in stores or stock management.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a proactive, team-focused approach.
- A methodical and organised work style.
- A driving licence is desirable due to the site’s location.
