Butler Rose is exclusively recruiting a Finance Data Analyst for a fast growing, international business based in Exeter. This role could be office based, hybrid, or fully remote.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing financial data, generating reports, and providing insights that support strategic decision-making across an international portfolio of companies. This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and proficiency in data management and analysis tools.

Reporting directly into the CFO, whilst also working closely with the CEO, key duties will include:

  • Prepare financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business planning and decision-making processes.
  • Ability to integrate finance data with our other data sources, in order to produce insight.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and cross-functional teams to gather data and provide insights on business key metrics.
  • Analyse financial performance against benchmarks and provide variance analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain financial performance analysis across the organisation, highlighting KPI performance
  • Creation of financial templates to support businesses growth
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor industry trends and economic factors that may impact the organisations finances
  • Collect, organise, and analyse large datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Use statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support business growth and efficiency improvements.
  • Work closely with the CFO to make data driven efficiencies.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as experience with data analysis. You will inform decision making through data and have excellent communication skills.
