My client is a Top 40 firm of Chartered Accountants. As a leading firm of Chartered Accountants, they look after the accountancy, tax planning and business advisory needs of their clients (individuals, businesses and third sector organisations both in the UK and overseas).
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm and continue your accountancy career. This is a full-time role based in one of my clients accounts teams.
Key responsibilities:
• Have a strong working knowledge of accounting principles and practices to deliver an effective service to clients.• Prepare and review accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.• Deliver tax planning and prepare self-assessment tax returns for individuals.• Provide dividend/remuneration planning for company directors.• Have excellent client relationship skills and handle client queries in a positive and client-focused manner.• Provide strategic advice to clients on their accounts, taxation and accounting systems/processes.• Provide mentoring and leadership to colleagues within the accounting team and assist in their development.• Review VAT returns for the bookkeeping team.• Undertake any ad hoc work as required by the accounts team.
Qualifications:
• ACCA/ACA qualified - Essential• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices• Knowledge and experience in accounting computer applications• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation, and providing financial advice• Supervisory skills
