We are seeking a well-organised individual to enhance the audit and accounts department of a respected firm. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in an expanding office in Exeter. Ideal for professionals with 2-4 years of practice experience, this position is perfect for those ready to dive in and make an immediate impact. While audit experience is preferable, it is not essential. We welcome candidates who are AAT qualified or currently pursuing ACA/ACCA qualifications.

Role Overview:

The role promises a diverse workload, encompassing accounts preparation, audit activities, and both corporate and personal tax responsibilities. This position not only challenges your existing skills but also supports your professional growth.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Compile accounts for limited companies.
  • Prepare tax returns for individuals and companies.
  • Supervise and review the work of junior staff.
  • Conduct internal and external audit visits.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and managers, influencing the development of the department as the firm grows.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role within a practice environment.
  • AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACA/ACCA.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Audit experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
