As an Audit and Accounts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a diverse client portfolio and ensuring the highest standards of client service. You will manage a team of dedicated professionals, guiding and mentoring them to achieve both team and individual goals. This role also includes close interaction with clients, where you’ll provide expert advice on audit and accounting matters, helping clients succeed while building strong, lasting relationships.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in audit and accounts management, ideally within a UK Practice environment, and will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA) or equivalent. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee audit and accounts engagements for a varied client portfolio.
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members.
- Ensure all work is compliant with relevant accounting and auditing standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional client service.
- Review and finalise accounts and audit files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with clients to provide sound accounting and audit advice.
- Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment.
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- Proven experience in audit and accounts management.
- Strong understanding of UK accounting and auditing standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
