Audit and Accounts Manager

Hybrid working (2 days home / 3 days office)

We are currently recruiting for an Audit and Accounts Manager to join our client based in their Exeter branch.
What you'll be doing:
- Assist the Senior Management team and Directors in delivery of statutory audit and accounts preparation
- 50% Audit / 50% Accounts including Charity and Not for Profit Sector
- Management and delivery of audit / accounts assignments
- Oversight of workflow and management of team
- Taking lead role on audit assignments from planning to completion
- Review audit files ahead of Director review
- Reviewing and preparing draft corporation tax and business tax computations including support analysis
- Preparation of statutory accounts from client trial balance
- Delivering information and communicating with clients in a timely and effective manner
- Assisting with senior management team / Partners
- Building and sustaining key relationships with clients
- Ad-hoc project work
About You:
- ACA / ACCA qualification with practice experience
- Experience as a manager or overseeing a small team
- Able to multitask and prioritise
- Work under pressure to tight and conflicting deadlines
- Experience managing audit assignments
- Commercial awareness
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Experience using IRIS and My Work Papers (desirable)
