Our client, a leading organisation within their sector, is currently looking for an astute Interim Director of Finance to join their forward-thinking team on a full-time, interim basis.
As the Director of Finance, you will provide strategic and financial guidance to senior management, ensuring effective financial management and oversight. You will craft and implement policies to establish robust financial frameworks, lead the Finance Team with vision, and leverage your strategic financial, commercial, and leadership expertise to maximise resource efficiency and propel business growth.
The responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Finance Team to deliver operational objectives.
- Ensure robust budget planning and monitoring of income and expenditure.
- Develop and manage budgets, devolving specific budgets to team leaders as needed.
- Provide specialist financial advice to ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
- Develop reports and analysis for senior decision-making bodies.
- Drive the growth of financial skills and commercial acumen within the organisation.
- Ensure financial resources align with business plans and milestones.
- Formulate management information to support effective decision-making.
- Oversee financial processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
The candidate:
- Qualified finance leader with a strong background as Director of Finance.
- Experienced senior finance executive with a track record of strategic insight and commercial acumen.
- Experience spearheading transformative initiatives and fostering innovation, with exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills.
- In-depth understanding of key financial regulations, including VAT, HMRC, and statutory accounting requirements.
- Effective team player with excellent interpersonal skills, well-suited to senior management roles.
