ob Title:Counterbalance Forklift Driver & Yard Worker

Hours:Monday - Friday, 07:00am - 5:00 pm
Hourly Rate:£12.23
Job Type:Temporary to Permanent (12-week minimum)

Responsibilities:

• Operate counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to transport materials within the recycling company's yard.
• Assist with yard work tasks as needed, including sorting, stacking, and organizing recyclable materials.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the yard area to facilitate smooth operations.
• Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding waste disposal and recycling practices.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents to the supervisor promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
• The candidate must ensure that they log all pallets into and out of the storage area using pre-defined paperwork and hand held scanners.

Requirements:

• Valid counterbalance forklift license and demonstrated experience operating the equipment.
• This is accessible by public transport.
• Physical work, lifting up to 25kg, sweeping and general maintenance.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Willingness to comply with safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety boots and hi-vis clothing.
