SALARY : £35,160.48 PER ANNUM

40 Hours per week - Monday - Friday - start and finish times vary according to the needs of the business, which may be of an urgent medical nature.

As a Depot Manager you will be responsible for the full compliance of the depot to include Employees and their welfare, building contents, vehicles in line with company policies, procedures and SOPs.

Youll work a minimum of 40 hours per week and must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours as and when required to meet our service requirements which may be of an urgent medical nature (average 48 - 50 hours). For this role, you may expect to work on a Monday Friday basis with bank holiday and overtime working as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Be responsible for the full compliance of the depot, including employee welfare, building contents, vehicles in line with company policies, procedures and standard operating procedures.

Produce analytical reports and where anomalies are found complete investigations and provide resolutions to improve performance or efficiencies. This will include but is not limited to Digi Cards, WTD,Sickness, Accident, failures, EPOD.

Conduct and or attend scheduled and ad hoc meetings with team, peers, and senior management when required.

Temperature tracking and reporting ensuring any incidents are managed efficiently on depot facilities and vehicles, managing any issues and ensuring they are resolved factoring in commercial, regulatory and good practice measures.

Support the most efficient resource planning within the depot and where this is a recruitment requirement, produce and seek the necessary authorisations, assist the recruitment team to establish the requirements, provide and review job descriptions, support the screening of candidates, conduct interviews, support the compliance and any subsequent on boarding/induction of new team members.

Responsible for new driver induction training, this includes 1-2-1 mentoring, tracking progress, ensuring they have read and fully understand all in house training modules, Driver/Vehicle awareness and all aspects of Home Delivery.

Act as first line of support in relation to employee relation cases/issues to ensure preventative resolutions, this will include but is not limited to Welfare, Absence, Conduct, Performance and ensure any issues are resolved observing confidentiality, respect, and in a professional and timely manner, liaising and fully co-operating directly with the HR department.

*Key Skills/Experience/Requirements:

Transport experience in a managerial/supervisory role essential.

Must hold a B category driving licence (ideally no more than 3 points)

CPC advantageous but not essential.

Temperature control experience.

Excellent leadership and communication/people skills essential.

Must have an excellent working knowledge of vehicle, fleet, and fridges, plus excellent working knowledge of IT packages such as Word, Excel, Internet/Intranet, PowerPoint, Masternaut and Polar Track.
