- Undertake maintenance within student residences in a safe working environment, assessing all Health and Safety issues before work commences and reporting any hazards identified to the relevant manager/supervisor.
- Carry out reactive maintenance in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and provide front line response for all building fabric related work using an iPad and a CAFM repairs management system.
- Carry out PPM in accordance with the schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of breakdowns and maintenance repairs, including records for statutory compliance.
- Set up and maintain adequate systems and controls to ensure all statutory obligations are met and provide specialist guidance to team colleagues to assist with tasks.
- Liaise with specialist sub-contractors.
- Assist team colleagues in other trades and at other locations as and when the need arises and assist with team development including cross-trade skills sharing and assessment.
- Take the lead in stock management appropriate to trade specialism (ordering, storage, distribution) ensuring appropriate parts are held and available to meet SLA timescales for repairs.
- Undertake training as required.
- Participate in an on-call rota as UPP’s primary representative, ensuring SLA requirements and client expectations are met and matters are communicated effectively to appropriate parties
- Be prepared to work additional hours, as and when the need arises, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends.
- You will have a good understanding of the operational procedures and safe working practices of building services and systems as well as good understanding of health and safety, with the ability to always work in a safe manner.
- You will also be prepared to work (with notice) additional hours when the needed, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends.
