Market leading company are seeking a hybrid working Pre-Possession Case Handler to join the team in their Exeter office. This is a great opportunity to work in the property industry in a role with a competitive salary of £23,000-24,000 and no weekend working! A fabulous entry level role into the exciting world of property.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem solving, be able to think outside the box, and have the ability to plan and manage their own caseload according to priority. Previous property experience is not essential as full training will be provided; however it would be an advantage. Excellent customer service skills are a must. The role is fast paced, and no two days are ever the same. Being able to jump from one task to another and use your initiative are key.

Role Purpose

  • Log and acknowledge receipt of new instructions on internal systems
  • Liaise with solicitors to ensure all service standards and legalities met
  • Appoint and negotiate fees with Estate Agents
  • Instruct contractors to complete service shut down and lock change
  • Instruct property valuations
  • Maintain a broad and current understanding of client requirements

Required Skills

  • Accurate written and oral communication
  • Attention to detail
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
  • Customer service skills
  • Diary management

General Information & Benefits

  • £23,000 per annum rising to £24,000 after probation.
  • Monday-Friday, 9-5.30 (no weekends or evenings) working three days per week in the Exeter City Centre office and two days from home.
  • 20 days holiday entitlement, plus Bank Holidays (increases by 1 day per calendar year of service until reaching the 25 days)
