Job Title: SC Cleared Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Exeter (2-3 days per month on-site)
Contract Duration: Until July 2025
Rate: £675 per day (Inside IR35)
Security Clearance: Active SC clearance required (lapsed clearance within the past 12 months may be considered)

About the Role:As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be a key member of a technical team responsible for developing and maintaining critical software solutions. This role combines technical expertise with innovation to ensure the continuous delivery and operational reliability of essential services.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop new data capabilities within supported software, expanding its functionality.
- Automate processes to reduce maintenance overheads and enable continuous delivery.
- Build and maintain infrastructure using Python, bash scripting, and Linux systems.
- Manage tools and testing environments to maintain high development standards.
- Provide technical support during software releases, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
- Keep documentation current and share knowledge with team members.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in Python and bash scripting with a strong focus on creating unit and integration tests.
- Expertise in Linux (Enterprise level), including troubleshooting and software upgrades.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Git, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Active SC clearance (or SC clearance that has lapsed in the past 12 months).
- Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work effectively within an Agile DevOps environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow or JIRA.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects in the public sector or enterprise environment.
