We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Science Teacher!

A great opportunity has arisen for a Science Teacher in Exeter. The school is looking for a Science Teacher to support them full-time next term.

The school aims to provide a personalised learning experience in an inclusive environment that recognises all members of the community as equals. The headteacher is looking for a Science Teacher that can equip students with resilience, respect and the ability to manage their emotions will enable them to be successful in any classroom or wider social environment.

You will be part of a collaborative team. It is essential to be confident of planning and preparing an engaging and creative class environment for the children. Strong ability to build relationships with students is necessary, with the ability to empower them on their learning journey. Good classroom and behavioural management.

The requirement is covering long-term sickness, the right candidate will have the opportunity for the position to be extended further into the academic year.

Salary for the role is dependant on experience, but will reflect the requirement to take on full responsibility of the class. PPA time will be provided by the school.

Science Teacher Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality science lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Monitor and support the progress of students through effective assessment and feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including science clubs and school events.
