We are seeking a skilled Gardener to work at a beautiful estate close to the south coast of Devon. The estate spans circa 60 acres of beautiful, mature landscape and the Gardener will be responsible for managing and overseeing all horticultural activities to ensure the estate is well cared for.

The position is live out, so you will need to reside within commutable distance. There is some flexibility to live in during the week if required.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement garden maintenance schedules and planting schemes.

• Ensure the highest standards of horticultural practice are maintained across the estate.

• Work within the garden's budget and resources efficiently.

• Mentor apprentices and other casual staff.

• Ensure all gardening activities comply with health and safety regulations.

• Coordinate with the estate management on various projects and requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role

• Ideally, possess RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) qualifications.

• Full UK driver's licence.

• Demonstrated longevity in previous roles.

• Excellent, checkable references.

• Good team player with the ability to foster a harmonious work environment.

• Passionate about horticulture and maintaining high standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm (with flexibility as required)
