Role: HR Advisor

Location: Exeter

Hours: Full-time, 8:45am - 5:30pm - Hybrid option available! (12 Month FTC)

Job Role

As an Employee Engagement and Experience Advisor, you'll be a key part of the People team, delivering a range of HR services. You'll support the Employee Engagement and Experience Manager by providing first-line contact on all people-related issues, ensuring compliance with internal processes and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line HR advice with a people-centric approach.
  • Manage the recruitment process from advertisement to hiring.
  • Drive continuous improvement by reviewing processes and policies.
  • Share meaningful people-related metrics/data with stakeholders.
  • Manage employee relations, including meetings and hearings.
  • Support the wider People team collaboratively.
  • Advise managers on absence management issues.
  • Facilitate welfare meetings or disciplinaries as needed.
  • Coach and support managers in assisting colleagues.
  • Participate in the job evaluation process.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking exercises.
  • Understand the job market and its impact.
  • Maintain accurate HR Information System data.
  • Be passionate about employee engagement.
  • Identify and nurture talent, addressing performance issues.
  • Drive people-related initiatives, balancing employee needs with objectives.
