The Opportunity
As a People Business Partner at Landmark, you will provide proactive, values-driven guidance and support to Leadership Teams, Managers and Employees in your designated business areas, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and growth. You will champion and drive the Landmark People Team strategy in line with the organisation's goals to drive sustainable business growth, profitability, and a positive, people focused workplace.
Reporting into the Chief People Officer, you will empower employees and leaders through development opportunities, delivering expert HR support rooted in fairness and integrity. Ensure the organisation upholds its values while mitigating risk through adherence to employment laws, policies, and ethical standards.
The role will involve, but will not be limited to:
- Play an integral role in shaping the Group People Team strategy and annual People Plan, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s goals and long-term vision.
- Collaborate with managers to design and implement essential People Team solutions, ensuring the right talent is in the right roles to drive business success.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to People Advisors and Administrators to ensure high performance, professional growth, and alignment with business needs.
- Monitor the workload of People Advisors, ensuring they have appropriate resources and support to manage competing priorities, while maintaining efficiency and quality of service.
- Offer expert advice to Leaders on the interpretation and application of People Team policies and employment legislation, ensuring consistent and compliant decision-making.
- Ensure employee consultations are conducted effectively, providing hands-on support to Managers and Leaders/Senior Leaders when needed to maintain fairness and transparency.
- Collaborate with Leaders to enhance employee communication and feedback processes, driving actionable outcomes that foster a positive work environment.
- Represent the People Team in disciplinary interviews and appeals, ensuring procedural fairness and alignment with company values.
- Coach and support Senior Leaders and Business in navigating challenges, enhancing their confidence and effectiveness in managing teams.
- Partner with the People Team Learning and Development Manager to identify and deliver tailored development programs that enhance skills and knowledge, driving professional growth within your Business Unit or Function.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to develop and sustain a robust external talent pipeline, ensuring access to high-quality candidates.
- Management of annual salary and bonus review processes. Support & advise Leaders on reward decisions, ensuring fairness and consistency whilst challenging where appropriate.
About You
You will be an experienced HR generalist at Business Partner level with CIPD Level 5 certification as a minimum or equivalent experience. You will have the drive and ability to see things through to the end with exceptional planning skills and an eye for detail.
You will also have/be:
- Knowledge of employment law and practical application within various organisations
- Presentation skills - able to deliver to groups
- Negotiation skills at Senior Level
- Coaching skills - able to make use of all opportunities to coach for improvement
- Strong data analysis skills
- Understanding of employment legislation and how to apply this within a commercial work environment
- Experience of HR Databases (Workday would be an advantage)
- Understanding of Immigration Polices and Processes
- Understanding of payroll/benefits/taxation and Health & Safety is desirable
