Technical Support - Field-Based

Our client is a leading provider of innovative solutions to the automotive, commercial and industrial sectors. We are seeking a proactive and skilled Field-Based Technical Support professional to join their team covering the South West of England. If you have experience of working in industrial coatings, a passion for technical innovation and excellence, we’d love to hear from you.

As the Field-Based Technical Support, you will provide on-site technical assistance, training and troubleshooting for coating products. You will work directly with clients to address their unique needs, ensuring the highest standards of product performance and customer satisfaction. Although you are field based you'll have the full support of the Technical Team based at the HQ!

You'll be working Monday to Friday - with a 4pm finish on Friday, and salary is up to £47500 depending on your level of experience. A company vehicle is provided and the company offers ongoing professional development opportunities and the chance to make a real impact in a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on technical support and training at client sites
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of products, including their features and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues to optimise product performance.
  • Conduct training sessions on application techniques, surface preparation and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide tailored solutions that meet their specific project needs.
  • Manage scheme installations, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
  • Maintain accurate schedules and document client visits and interactions.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to support product development and improvements.
  • Foster strong professional relationships with clients, becoming their trusted advisor for paint-related needs.

What you'll need:

  • Expertise in industrial coatings, automotive spaying or a similar industry.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to manage customer expectations and deal with complaints.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process development.
  • Flexibility for regional travel and occasional site visits.
  • Ideally located along the M5 corridor.
