Your new role

Our client is seeking a proactive Technical Team Leader to oversee digitisation and data acquisition projects. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining the accuracy of digitised data, upholding compliance, and delivering technical support via a bespoke service desk. You will plan and adjust team workloads, manage the ticketing system, supervise data input and accuracy, and act as the primary coordinator for data acquisition with utility companies.

  • Act as the primary coordinator for data acquisition with utility companies, tracking correspondence, and following up as necessary to gather essential asset information.
  • Supervise input and accuracy of asset data sets on GIS systems and export to various formats when required.
  • Enable the capture of the location and condition of assets using various technologies and GPS tools.
  • Ensure extremely high accuracy of all data that you are a custodian of.
  • Manage the ticketing system, tracking requests, and ensuring timely resolution of enquiries.
  • Motivate, coach and train the team, helping to provide a positive and productive work environment.
  • Learn and understand all tasks performed by the operations team, ensuring comprehensive knowledge to effectively train and coach new staff and support team development.
  • Cyclic task ownership and management, delegating and supervising across the board.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Solid foundation in ITIL service management, data management, and process automation
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven time management and organisational skills
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to work independently
  • Experience in team management, including delegation and performance monitoring
  • Understanding of databases, tables, GIS, and process management
