IT Technician
- Annual Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience and aptitude)

Reed Technology are delighted to be working with dynamic Exeter based tech company with their search for an IT Technician to join their friendly and growing team
This role offers a blend of technical challenges and customer interaction, ideal for both experienced IT professionals and those passionate about starting a career in technology.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Respond to, analyse, diagnose, and resolve client IT issues via phone, email, and helpdesk, ensuring all issues are addressed within SLA parameters.
- Acquire, set up, and install hardware, software, and network products and services, both remotely and on-site.
- Provide expert and accurate IT advice to clients, ensuring a high standard of customer care at all times.
- Communicate clearly with clients and users, adapting technical communication as required.
- Manage client expectations and keep them informed of progress with IT issues, equipment, or software supply.
- Work with the team to identify repeat issues or predictable problems and implement proactive mechanisms to reduce impact on clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- GCSE (Grade C or above) in Maths, English, and Science (or equivalent).
- Experience in an IT support role or a customer support role.
- Administration of common IT processes (user account management, network shares, etc.).
- Troubleshooting LAN, WLAN, and WAN issues and familiarity with common components (switches, access points, routers, firewalls, etc.).
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and common hardware platforms.
- Knowledge of Microsoft directory, productivity, and cloud services (including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Office 365, Exchange Online, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain professionalism with clients.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal direction and a methodical, logical problem-solving approach.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel for on-site support activities.
