Seafreight Import Coordinator - Exeter - Up to 30,000

We are seeking an Import Coordinator to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in import coordination and logistics, with a proven ability to manage and monitor the importing process from beginning to end.

Job Type - Permanent

Shift pattern Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the import process, including documentation, customs clearance, and transportation.
  • Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other parties to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations and requirements
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
  • Resolve any issues or delays related to the import process
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize import processes and procedures

Requirements

  • 2-3 Years proven experience in import coordination, preferably in Freight Forwarding
  • Strong knowledge of import regulations and customs procedures
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems
