This local practice, which recently merged with a global multidisciplinary construction company, is seeking a Town Planner to oversee their nationwide planning operations.The design led consultancy which is aggressively expanding offers a range of services from Architectural, through to construction management and planning all while maintaining an excellent staff Retention.The right candidate will ideally have 10 + years of planning experience across a variety of sectors to include leisure parks, and you can find yourself working in a small but friendly office environment, being fully supported with all the benefits you will find working for a large multi-disciplinary.You’ll have the opportunity for professional growth and career development in a friendly, sociable, and supportive setting. You'll also manage the planning department, with the potential for further growth over time.The Role:• Develop creative and original planning solutions• Preparing policy presentations, project proposals and tender responses• Manging own client relationships• Grow workload and win business in the area• Consult with stakeholders and other interested parties• Negotiate with developers and other professionals, such as surveyors and architects• Assess planning applications and monitor outcomes • Research and analyses data to help inform strategic developments• Design layouts and draft design statements• Attend and present at planning boards, appeals and public inquiries• Relevant Planning degree within MRTPI / RTPI /RICS• Proficiency on CAD software• Project delivery • keep up to date with legislation associated with land use• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
