Penguin Recruitment is delighted be supporting a leading property and planning consultancy who is seeking an ambitious Town Planner to join their dynamic team in Exeter.

Role Overview: As a Town Planner, you will be involved in a wide range of exciting planning projects across the South West. You will work on residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, providing expert advice, drafting planning applications, and ensuring compliance with planning policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and submitting planning applications
  • Conducting site assessments and planning appraisals
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
  • Advising on planning policies and regulations
  • Assisting with public consultations and community engagement
  • Contributing to the growth and success of the planning team

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in Town Planning
  • A relevant degree or qualification in Town Planning (RTPI accredited)
  • Strong knowledge of planning policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive attitude with a passion for planning and development
