Family Solicitor/Legal Executive

Are you an experienced Family Solicitor or Legal Executive looking for a unique opportunity to establish and develop a new department? This role offers the chance to be the first dedicated family law fee earner at this successful Exeter branch, with a strong pipeline of work already in place.

Your Role:

  • Launch & grow the family law division in the Exeter office
  • Manage an existing caseload of privately funded family law matters
  • Handle divorce, separation, child arrangements, financial disputes, cohabitation & nuptial agreements
  • Represent clients in family court proceedings, including financial remedy hearings, injunctive proceedings and child arrangement disputes
  • Liaise with barristers & attend court as needed
  • Promote and facilitate mediation & collaborative law
  • Build strong client relationships and uphold the firm’s positive reputation

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in family law
  • At least 3 years' PQE managing your own caseload
  • Ambition & drive to build and expand a successful family law team
  • A proactive approach to business development & marketing
