About Our Client:

Our client is a leading UK house builder, serving local communities across the country and delivering approximately 15,000 homes annually. With a strong commitment to quality and a focus on supporting career growth, they provide an exciting opportunity for professionals to build their new possible.

As a Residential Development Solicitor, you will play a crucial role within the Land/HA sector of the Legal Team, working closely with various divisional offices across the organisation. Reporting to the Group Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to develop strong relationships with regional offices, which may occasionally require travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with regional offices, requiring occasional travel
  • Specialising in property-focused tasks such as affordable housing and land acquisition, advising on general land matters, disposal matters, and providing support in planning work

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Solicitor or fully qualified legal executive status
  • Experience in property due diligence, reporting on title, conditional contracts, option agreements, affordable housing sales, section 106 agreements, infrastructure agreements, and site assembly
  • Previous experience working for a house builder, either in-house or in private practise
  • Computer literacy and strong social and communication skills
  • Knowledge of land/property law and regulations
  • Familiarity with residential development processes
  • Experience in advising on planning matters for residential developments
  • Confidence in handling confidential and sensitive information
