Maintenance Engineer

The Company:
A fantastic opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Technicianwith experience of working in an industrial, manufacturing, production or engineering environment. Electrical OR Mechanical experience will be considered as we have positions for either an Industrial Electrician or Mechanical Engineer, covering a 3 shift / continental pattern of earlies, lates and nights, but only across Mon-Fri (no weekend working).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Minimise production downtime by trouble shooting breakdowns and preventing reoccurrences on a variety of Electrical and Mechanical equipment, and can be exposed to mechanical ones too.
  • Work with electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation undertake fault finding and modification of plant and equipment.
  • Use a Maintenance Management System carry out preventative/ planned maintenance work.
  • Contribute to improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and reducing recurring issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment adhering to all EHS Company policies.
  • Continuously enhance job knowledge through training and development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a time-served apprenticeship with a minimum level 3 qualification, BTEC/City and Guilds or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in industrial maintenance and fault finding. on electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
  • Proven competency in reading and interpreting electrical and /or mechanical diagrams as well as fault finding in control panels and on industrial systems.
  • Experience in any of the following will be advantageous: PLCs, Fabrication, Welding, Vacuum Technology.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with office software applications would be an advantage.
  • Resilient, resourceful approach, with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
Pay and Hours:
3 shift/continentalpattern of earlies, lates and nights, but only across Mon-Fri (no weekend working)
OVERTIME PAID AT £27-29 PER HOUR
