Do you want to play a key role in driving the success of a rapidly growing commercial solar PV and Voltage Optimisation business?

My client is a leading provider of commercial Solar PV and Voltage Optimisation solutions, dedicated to accelerating the UK's transition to net zero. With headquarters in Exeter and a growing presence in Leeds, they develop and deliver high-quality renewable energy projects nationwide. Their strong industry expertise and close relationships with key stakeholders have positioned them as a trusted name in the sector.

As they continue to expand, they are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee project development, stakeholder engagement, and funding processes. This senior role requires a detail-oriented professional with experience in commercial Solar PV and Voltage Optimisation. The successful candidate will manage project timelines, ensure financial close, and work closely with internal teams to maintain quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience managing projects and operations within the renewable energy sector, with an electrical bias. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and stakeholder management are essential. Experience in financial modelling, procurement, or construction management is a plus, as well as proficiency in CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and MS Office. They should be highly motivated, adaptable, and committed to delivering projects on time, on budget, and to a high standard.

The Role

• Oversee project development, stakeholder engagement, and funding.
• Manage project timelines, ensuring financial close on time and budget.
• Coordinate with sales, design, legal, and construction teams.
• Act as the main contact for funders, ensuring smooth deal flow.
• Handle due diligence, technical reviews, and procurement.
• Lead a small team, ensuring efficient project delivery.

The Person

• 3+ years in commercial Solar PV and Voltage Optimisation with an electrical bias.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in financial modelling, procurement, or construction is a plus.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficient in CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and MS Office.
• Proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
