Field Service Engineer (CHP and Biogas Engines) - Exeter (South West Patch)

What You Need to Have...
  • Essential - NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Essential - Experience working with large engines, electrics, and diagnostics
  • Desirable - Experience in the biogas, power generation, or CHP sectors.
  • Essential - Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
  • Desirable - Familiarity with engine control systems (DIANE, COMAP, DEIF, TEM) and 24V DC systems
  • Essential - A full UK driving licence.
  • Desirable - Gas Safe qualification (desirable but not essential).

Role Details

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be a crucial part of our client's operations, maintaining and repairing biogas engines (30kW-3MW) at client sites across the Southwest.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on CHP engines.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Managing your own workload and accurately completing service reports.
  • Working with control systems such as DIANE, COMAP, DEIF, and TEM.
  • Participating in an on-call rota after the initial training period.
