Murray McIntosh are searching for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to start work for a key client of ours on a contract basis as detailed below: Responsibilities:

  • Complete engineering designs using Solidworks (2D drafting & 3D design)
  • Produce design & technical documentation for Manufacturing Data Pack (MDP)
  • Review & release mechanical design work.
  • Define and agree mechanical work packages (scope, estimates & cost).
  • Produce technical documentation to company standards, including calculations, 3D CAD models and assemblies, manufacturing drawings and technical reports.

Skills & experience required:

  • Solidworks & PDM - essential
  • AutoCAD, DraftSight & Altium experience would be advantageous.
  • Previous electro-mechanical design for underwater environment experience would be ideal
  • Previous experience working on naval defence projects across systems & products
  • Able to carry out FEA as required

The successful candidate will need to be eligible to obtain SC clearance.This is mainly a remote role.
