About the Role:

As the Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the firm by managing day-to-day operations, improving internal processes, and ensuring an exceptional service for our clients. This is a senior role that demands both strategic insight and hands-on management to maximize the firms efficiency and growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Partners to formulate and implement business plans, budgets, and growth strategies.
  • Oversee the firms core operational and management activities, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Manage insurance cover and renewals, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead the operational delivery of compliance and client onboarding processes.
  • Analyse monthly staff reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular updates to the Partners.
  • Maximize capacity and effectiveness across fee-earning and administrative teams.
  • Leverage the firms case management system to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Oversee facilities management, ensuring the firm operates in an optimal environment.
  • Regularly visiting all office locations (Devon/Somerset).

  • Proven experience as a Practice Manager or Business Manager within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of business planning, compliance, and financial management.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and processes.
  • Ability to work closely with senior management and Partners to achieve strategic goals.
