As an Assistant Building Surveyor, you will work closely with our clients experienced team to support the delivery of a wide range of surveying services. This role is perfect for someone looking to develop their skills in building surveying and progress towards full chartership (RICS).

You'll gain exposure to all aspects of building surveying, from condition surveys and design work to contract administration and project management.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Building Sureveyor:

  • Assist with property inspections, condition surveys, and defect analysis.
  • Support senior surveyors with project management and contract administration.
  • Prepare reports, specifications, and schedules of works.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure projects run smoothly.
  • Assist with building design, planning applications, and feasibility studies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and building codes.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulations.

Requirements of the Assistant Building Surveyor

  • Degree in Building Surveying
  • Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Familiarity with relevant building regulations and construction methods.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience with CAD software (preferred but not essential).
  • Full UK driving licence.
